Women's
Ministries is the collection of ministries sponsored and carried
out by women in the Assemblies of God fellowship. Our mission is
for women to join together to touch the world with God's love, forgiveness
and reconciliation.
Through Women's Ministries, Christian women actively
touch the world for Jesus Christ in varied and creative ways. That's
why we've chosen "Women Touching the World" as our theme,
because it reflects all aspects of Women's Ministries and Missionettes
involvement on national, district and local levels. Each of these
levels offers separate and distinct avenues of ministry for women.
Women's Ministries Goals
To
minister to every woman according to her need
To
help each woman find her personal place of ministry
The vitality of Women's Ministries is in the local Women's Ministries
group. Here women are directly involved in ministry to other women
and helping every woman find her personal place of ministry.
Emblem
The
open heart symbolizes women's inherent openness to the challenge
of human needs. As the words Women's Ministries flow from
the emblem, so love and compassion flow from the heart of women.
Women's Ministries comprises women who care about the needs of the
world.
Scripture Verse
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might"
(Ecclesiastes 9:10). Women's Ministries members have not only
caring hearts, but also sharing hands. Compassion cannot stand
alone; it must find expression in action. This Scripture verse,
which implies both diligence and excellence, embodies the purpose
of Women's Ministries.
Motto
"We minister as Unto Christ," the motto for Women's
Ministries, indicates that every ministry must be fulfilled as though
it were done to Christ himself. This underlying thought dignifies
all areas of ministry, making the most humble service a divine commission.
As we remember our goal of ministering to women and helping every
woman find a place of ministry, we know that all ministry is as
unto the Lord himself.
Prayer
"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer"
Psalm 19:14)
